Techland Updates Dying Light Release Dates!

Techland updated the global launch dates for Dying Light today. Previously the game was scheduled for a January 27th release on the PS4, Xbox One and PC in North American, with Asia, Australia, Europe and New Zealand releasing a day or two after that. Now it’s set to be released digitally worldwide on the 27th!

What this means is that gamers playing on PC will be able to grab their copy of Dying Light on the same day as everyone else. Those living in North and South America will also be able to get physical copies of the PS4 and Xbox One versions of the game that day. In Europe, Middle East, Asia, and Australia, will see a digital release on the consoles on the 28th, with physical copies coming February 27th.  Ouch…

Being a fan of the physical format, that’s got to be tough to wait a month to play. Techland must have felt the same way – they also announced that the “Be the Zombie” multiplayer mode will be free on all platforms everywhere (regardless if you pre-ordered or not). This is good news as I’m sure a lot of people were looking forward to trying this out, but wanted to hold off on pre-purchasing till the review came out. If that wasn’t enough, Techland will be giving away extra weapon dockets to everyone who pre-ordered and signed up at Dockets.DylingLightGame.com as well as two DLC packs for those who pre-ordered physical copies of the game.

Dying Light will be here soon. Be sure to check back here for our review of this highly anticipated game!
