The Division 2 Gets Holiday Items and Permadeath in New Update
Ubisoft recently announced a Christmas themed event for Tom Clancy’s The Division 2. Called Situation: Snowball, this in new content will feature Santa Hat wearing enemies, a new exclusive weapon and more.
Situation: Snowball comes by way of Title Update 6.1, which will be available for all players starting December 10th. With it comes the aforementioned enemies and such. Including unlockable apparel; anyone who logs in between December 10th and January 7th will receive a red Santa Hat.
Fans will also be able to unlock/purchase the Silent Night Apparel Caches, which features 35 new apparel items. Players will need to use keys to unlock each cache, if they hope to collect every item.
The coolest addition (no pun intended) has to be the new weapon though. This exclusive weapon is not only festive looking, it shoots snowballs. Deadly snowballs…
Beyond the holiday themed content, 6.1 also features the beta version of the new Hardcore Mode. At this difficulty setting, death is permanent. There’s no chance of respawning – Ubisoft recommends playing through the campaign with others to better your chances of survival.
Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 was a solid game when it released back in March. Since then, it’s only gotten better.
