The Flame in the Flood Gets a Release Date!

The Molasses Flood, a company full of game developing vets, have announced the release date of their first title, The Flame in the Flood!

The Flame in the Flood is a rogue-lite game the sees a young woman taking a journey down a procedurally generated river. Gamers will need to craft weapons, outwit predators, hunt for food and more as they face the backwaters of post-societal America. Check out the tips video below to see what I mean:

One of things that attracted me was the art style; ever since I saw it during ID@Xbox GDC event last year, I was hooked. It reminded me of Don’t Starve but almost completely different. Add in interesting mechanics and an original soundtrack by Chuck Ragan and you’re all set for something special. At least, that’s what seems to be the case.

The Flame in the Flood will be released on the Xbox One and PC/Mac on February 24th. Be sure to check back here as we continue to cover this title!
