Colorful Beat’em Up Unruly Heroes is Releasing Next Year

If I’ve said it once, I’ve said it a thousand times. One of the best things about the video game industry is that no one person can play every game. Meaning, there is always something new to experience.

For instance, I’ve recently learned about an upcoming action adventure/beat’em up, Unruly Heroes via a press release. Based on the Journey to the West novel, the game sees four unlikely heroes taking on legions of enemies in an epic adventure.

The game looks great. I dig the art style, it offers cooperative play (locally or online), and an interesting mechanic that allows players to swap characters – even mid-combo – at will. It basically has my name written all over it. And yet, this is the first time I’ve heard of it; I may have read something about it or heard rumblings but wasn’t aware of Unruly Heroes as I am now. None of this is a bad thing. It just means that I have another game to look at for!

Jumping back to the press release, the developer (Magic Design Studios) announced that the game was going to be released in early 2019; it’ll land on the Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and PC, with a PS4 version to follow.
