Warner Bros. Reveals MKX Comic Series!

DC Entertainment revealed the Mortal Kombat X comic book series during its “DC Digital: Download This!” New York Comic Con panel. Serving as a prequel to the upcoming game, the series will feature many of the franchise’s most popular characters.

This shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone; Warner Bros. owns DC comics and NetherRealm, the studio developing MKX. They also produced the Injustice comic series to go along with the fighter of the same name. So a Moral Kombat series was sure to follow. That doesn’t make it any less awesome though!

The MKX comic is being written by Shawn Kittelsen with artwork done by Dexter Soy and Ivan Reis, who’ll be doing the covers (two of which are shown above). The series will debut in January 2015, before the game hits later in April. Be sure to check back here as we continue to cover all things Mortal Kombat.

MKX will be released on PS3/4, Xbox 360/One, and PC on April 14th, 2015.
