Yakuza Kiwami Comes to Xbox
Yakuza Kiwami has finally made it to Xbox and PC. Coming via the Game Pass, newcomers will now get to experience how this popular series began.
Kiwami follows the exploits of Kazuma Kiryu, series protagonist, after being released from prison. His time behind bars was tough. Things aren’t that better on the outside. Not only is he at odds with his former clan, his childhood friend went missing, and rival Yakuza clans are about to go to war. Fun times.
We reported that three Yakuza titles were coming to Xbox last year. So far, the service features Yakuza 0 and Yakuza Kiwami; Yakuza Kiwami 2 will assumedly be released later this year. That said, I don’t think these are the only games coming to the Game Pass. While I’m pretty sure that the Yakuza Remastered Collection – which features Yakuza 3, 4, and 5 – won’t be released on Xbox, that doesn’t mean that SEGA isn’t going to release them one at a time.
Yakuza is up one of SEGA’s most popular franchises. It’s great that Xbox fans are getting the chance to experience these games. Here’s hoping that the rest of the series makes it way to the Game Pass.
