Saber Interactive Announces NBA Playgrounds!

Saber Interactive announced NBA Playgrounds – a new arcade-style basketball game today. Coming to multiple platforms, this new title is bringing back the classic 2-on-2 gameplay of yesteryear!

NBA Playgrounds will include an extensive roster. We’re talking all 30 NBA teams, featuring current and retired players. Each player will be able to perform crazy dunks and over-the-top moves on assorted playgrounds across the globe; it’s like a combination of NBA Jam and NBA Street.

So far, we’ve only seen a teaser trailer for the game. Here’s hoping it’s as fun as the games its inspired by…

“Basketball is such a pick-up-and-play sport at heart – we really wanted to bring that spirit into gaming,”said Saber’s CEO, Matt Karch. “NBA Playgrounds has a lot of depth for pros who’ve mastered their game, but it’s accessible enough that anyone can jump in, have fun and feel competitive.”

NBA Playgrounds is slated to be released this May on the PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC. We’ll be sure to keep you up to date as we get closer to launch.
