Bungie Shares New Destiny 2 Trailer/Reveals Release Date!

And we’re back folks – Bungie made good on their promise of releasing a world premier trailer for Destiny 2. It was pretty good to say the least; there’s explosions and such. That said, it didn’t show any gameplay like I’d hoped.

It did give us a brief look into recent events. The tower is gone, seemingly destroyed by a new threat named Garry, Gil…er…refer to the trailer, his name is said at some point. It also shows the Traveler on fire? He, it, has seen better days!

One thing I think Bungie is hinting at with this trailer is the fact that this is a new start. Cayde-6 talks about how all of our stuff was destroyed during the attack on the tower. He also says that there will be a lot of loot…meaning we’ll be grinding for new weapons like in the first game (or not, it could just mean more guns and such). This would also mean that there is no carry over; you might not be able to port your Destiny characters to the new game.

The biggest reveal has to be Destiny 2’s release date. Gamers will be triple teaming baddies again come September 8th on the PS4 and Xbox One. I’d assume PC as well this time around. We’ll have to wait and see. At any rate, keep it locked here as we continue to cover this highly anticipated title!
