Epic Launches Fortnite Chapter 2

We all knew that Fortnite was going to return. Epic might have fooled a few of us with an elaborate move – they recently sucked the game’s entire world into a black hole – but the down time was always going to be temporary. What we didn’t know, was that they’d be changing the game for (seemingly) the better.

Today, Epic Games launched Fortnite Chapter 2. With it came an all-new island, featuring 13 different locations, new water-based gameplay, upgradable weapons and more.

Fans will now be able to swim, use motorboats, even fish. Snagging a new weapon is as easy as tossing a line. That is, until someone starts shooting at you.

They’ll also be able to hide in haystacks and dumpsters to get the drop on opponents.

New team-based mechanics have surfaced as well. Players can carry their fallen teammates to safety and/or use the Bandage Bazooka to heal the whole squad.

Fortnite Chapter 2 seems like a sequel of sorts. Sure, it’s still the same battle royale game. But the new elements make it feel different. In a good way…

Fans can download Chapter 2 now (on just about every platform). For more info on how the game has changed, head over here.
