Freemode Events and More Coming to GTA Online!

Rockstar is still adding content to the very popular, Grand Theft Auto Online. Speaking of which, they recently announced that Freemode Events – a range of seamlessly integrated games and challenges – will be coming to GTA Online next week!

Similar to open world events found in MMO’s, the Freemode Events will pop up all over Los Santos; there are no menus, lobbies or load times to contend with. Add in variations on each event and there are tons of unique new experiences just waiting to…um…be experienced.

Also included in next week’s update are two brand new Adversary Modes and the Rockstar Editor (already available on PC) to the PS4 and Xbox One. The first new mode, Hunting Pack, has players team up to deliver a priority vehicle rigged to explode if it drops below a minimum speed. Of course, a rival team will be throwing everything at them in order to take it out. The second new mode is called Cross the Line. Here, heavily armed squads face off across a neutral zone with the goal of laying claim to their opponent’s territory.

Going back to the editor, gamers will be able to tool around with new features. This includes ambient audio, sound effects, Snapmatic integration, Director Mode updates and more. PC players will be getting the same updates so don’t fret.

The coming update(s) will be available on September 15th. Plenty of time to gear up for the coming chaos…
