Saber Reveals NBA Playgrounds Roster!

Saber Interactive’s NBA Playgrounds announcement was well received. It would seem that gamers have that arcade-basketball itch for some time. Or they’ve grown tired of that one NBA simulation title from 2K. Whatever the case, Saber didn’t want to just leave fans with a teaser.

Today Saber revealed the launch roster for NBA Playgrounds. As one would expect, it’s a pretty extensive list, featuring Allen Iverson, Alonzo Mourning, Carmelo Anthony, and Magic Johnson to name a few. There are some notable absences (there’s no Larry Bird or Michael Jordon). Still, it isn’t a bad start…

I say “start” because Saber indicated that this was the launch roster and that hundreds more will be released as DLC at a later date. Speaking of date, we still don’t have a clear release day. Just that it’ll drop in May digitally for $19.99.
