Ubisoft Officially Reveals Far Cry 6

Ubisoft had a lot to show during their Forward event. One of which was the next game in the Far Cry series.

Far Cry 6 is set in Yara, another tropical “paradise” controlled by a dictator. President Antón Castillo (played by Giancarlo Esposito) struggles to keep his hold over the island nation; the world premier trailer depicts Yara’s citizens fighting in the streets.

Fans will choose a male or female version of Dani Rojas, the game’s protagonist, before diving headfirst into the conflict. They’ll need to various tools/weapons to take the fight to Castillo and his men. That includes unique weapons, vehicles and the Fangs For Hire – NPC’s that provide support during missions.

Far Cry 6 is scheduled to be released for the Xbox One/Series X, PS4/5, Stadia and PC on February 18th, 2021. Like Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, fans who purchase the current gen version will be able to upgrade to the next-gen version at no additional cost.
