Fallout 76 Improves After Latest Patch

Fallout 76 had a smooth launch. For a game of this size and scope, coming from Bethesda, one would certainly expect a rocky first week. That wasn’t the case. At least…not entirely.

Sure, there are bunch of bugs – and some interesting design choices – but for the most part, the game was running well. So, it was exciting to learn that a patch was coming that would address certain problems.

The patch has come and gone. With it came performance and stability improvements, some bugs, AI issues and more. I was pleased to see that enemies will no longer chase players father than they should. Considering I was hounded by a Sourchbeast for what seemed like miles before it finally let me go, this is a welcome change.

There are still some issues that need addressing. Missions still randomly disappear and certain NPCs aren’t respawning after death – both of which can be fixed by logging in and out/jumping into another server. Bethesda is working hard on new patches though; the push-to-chat ability and FOV slider is coming later this year (for PC players). Here’s hoping that they continue to properly support Fallout 76.

Fallout 76 is currently available for the Xbox One, PS4, and PC. Be sure to check back here for our review.
