Supermassive Details Man of Medan’s Multiplayer Mode

Supermassive recently released a new dev diary for The Dark Pictures Anthology – Man of Medan. In it, the developers talk about the game’s shared story mode; they explain how it works and what it took to make sure it provides the proper experience.

Man of Medan’s shared story mode is a big deal. While it isn’t the first game to offer cooperative options in a story-based game with diverging narrative threads (Divinity: Original Sin 2 comes to mind), it is still a fairly new concept.

Players will be able to make their own choices, take different actions, go to different places and more. they’ll still share the same narrative though; the story will branch and change based on what both players decide to do.

The Dark Pictures Anthology – Man of Medan is shaping up to be one of Supermassive’s biggest games. They’ve worked hard to create a unique survival horror experience. Here’s hoping that it’s well received come August 30th!
